The George C. Platt Memorial Bridge in South Philadelphia closed for several hours Monday morning due to a fatal multi-car crash. Police said the driver of a BMW lost control of his car, flipped into the opposite lanes and collided with two other cars, killing the driver of a Toyota Camry. The BMW driver was in critical condition.

A woman using a wheelchair was fatally struck in a hit-and-run crash on the 2200 block of Reservoir Drive in Fairmount Park at 1:46 a.m. Tuesday, police said. Investigators are searching for a possibly silver vehicle. The woman's name and age have not been released.

A driver in a silver Jeep Cherokee struck three Penn Presbyterian nurses early Saturday morning as they treated a man who had been shot. The staffers were hit when the driver, who brought the man to the hospital, attempted to flee the scene.
