After a heartbreaking loss to Notre Dame in South Philly Saturday night, Temple Football remained in the top 25 of the latest Amway Coaches' Poll released Sunday.
The Owls dropped one spot following the defeat from 22nd to 23rd. Notre Dame (7-1) stayed the same at 9th after the close victory.
Temple (7-1) lost on national television in the highly anticipated matchup after giving up a three point lead late in the fourth quarter in front of a sold out crowd at Lincoln Financial Field.
The program's next contest against a ranked opponent will come at home on Nov. 21 against conference rival Memphis.
Currently ranked 16th in the Coaches' Poll, the Tigers are coming off a blowout win against Tulane and are undefeated on the season. with a record of 8-0.
Whether the Owls remain in the Associated Press' Top 25 poll remains to be seen, as the country's other major national poll is usually released early Sunday afternoons.
In that poll, Temple was ranked 21st before Saturday night's loss.
