Making all of your summer dreams come true, the New Castle Ice Cream Festival makes its triumphant return Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28. Located in Wilmington, Delaware, the festival has earned a spot on USA Today's Top 10 Food Fests list as well as a mention on Food Network.
Eleven different ice creameries will be in attendance among over two dozen more food and snack vendors. Local favorite Little Baby's Ice Cream will be there, as well as Sweet Lucy's and Yuengling Ice Cream.
A children's zone will include live animals, trapeze artists, stilt walkers and jugglers plus a special stage for kid-friendly entertainment. The festival is dog-friendly, too.
The local businesses of Main Street in Rockwood will be open for visitors during the festival, as will vendors, crafters and local artists. A full line-up of live performers at Music Meadow rounds out the weekend festivities that includes music and dancers. Kids under the age of 12 get free admission.
