Page Six reported that Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons, 21, is dating 22-year-old model Kendall Jenner, the second youngest of the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" sisters and notoriously failed Pepsi spokesperson.
The romance is still reportedly new, the couple having been spotted in L.A. and New York over the last couple of weeks. The new relationship comes shortly after Jenner broke up with another NBA star, former Los Angeles Clippers All-Star and current Detroit Piston Blake Griffin.
After landing in LAX Monday, Simmons briefly spoke to paparazzi – not about the relationship, but to echo a sentiment for which some Philadelphians are clamoring. Like many a billboard have posited before, Simmons suggested that Lebron James should come play for the Sixers. When asked by paparazzi if Simmons could play alongside James, he answered, “There’s only one way to find out.”
Despite 91.3 million Instagram followers and some of the most liked social media posts of all time, Jenner is usually pegged as the most “private” in the Kardashian/Jenner complex. Previous rumors have linked her romantically to Harry Styles, Jordan Clarkson, Chandler Parsons, A$AP Rocky and others throughout the years, but you’re much less likely to see excessively private pictures posted by Jenner herself, or to even get the relationship 100 percent confirmed.
Pretty much all of the Kardashian/Jenner siblings have been linked to NBA stars, with some speculating there’s a “Kardashian curse” for some players, such as Kim Kardashian’s 72-day husband – former Brooklyn Nets player Kris Humphries, and Khloe Kardashian’s ex-husband and former Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom. Check out this full analysis of the alleged NBA "Kardashian curse" here.
Fingers crossed the curse doesn't spread to our potential NBA Rookie of the Year.
