Bring 25 cookies to swap on Saturday, Dec. 3 and receive one complimentary pint of Cookie Swap Weizenbock.
City Tap House will host a cookie swap on Saturday, Dec. 3, at its University City and Logan Square locations. This isn't a typical holiday cookie swap, though.
Participants who bring 25 cookies to swap will receive a complimentary pint of the new Cookie Swap Weizenbock – a beer the restaurant collaborated on with Yards Brewing Co.
The inspiration behind Cookie Swap Weizenbock was the sweet treats of the holiday season. Molasses and fresh ginger were used to brew the beer, giving it a flavor similar to a ginger snap cookie.
The cookie swap will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those who can't make the event but are still interested in the beer will be able to grab the weizenbock through the winter season at City Tap House.
