The Eagles' missed tackles against the Cardinals, in gif form

The Eagles made David Johnson look like Christian Okoye from Tecmo Bowl.

Earlier this season, Buccaneers running back Doug Martin rumbled for 235 yards on 27 carries, leaving a trail of Eagles defenders in his wake. Many of his longer runs, however, were gigantic holes that opened up in the Eagles' defense. It's hard to imagine the Eagles playing worse run defense than they did that day.

Somehow, they topped it Sunday night, when they were actually often in position to make plays, but simply couldn't tackle.

“No matter who is in the game we need to tackle better than we did tonight," said Bill Davis after the game. "We tackled terribly tonight and we have to get that fixed. The run game was a bigtime issue. We have done better than that and we will do better than that. I don’t know where it came from but we have to stop it before Washington. It wasn’t good enough by anybody tonight and tackling will be an emphasis this week. You are not going to win many games when you are tackling like that. What happened tonight we have to figure out. The tackling hadn’t been like that so we have to see who, how, and why.”

Below, we have the "who" covered, in alphabetical order:

Kiko Alonso

I'm not sure if everyone would call this a missed tackle or not, but Alonso's body language kind of says, "You're probably going to get into the end zone, so let's just save ourselves the wear and tear, good sir, and allow me to back off. You have yourself a pleasant evening."

Technically, this isn't a missed tackle, but when you get dragged for 8 yards...

Byron Maxwell

Again, this technically isn't a missed tackle, but when you get dragged for almost 20 yards...
