Didn't get a chance to attend the sold-out Philadelphia Zoo Summer Ale Fest? The Elmwood Park Zoo offers another chance to drink in a zoo this summer. On Aug. 5, you can head out on a Wine Safari.
During the new event, local wineries will be stationed at each stop of the "safari." Each station will have samples of wine and will feature a food pairing. The wine at each stop will be representative of the region that the surrounding zoo animals are native to.
There will also be a wine tasting demo and a mixology class at the Zoo Bowl Theater, plus live music at each stop. Tickets for the event are $75 per 21-plus adult and include a complimentary wine glass.
Additional wine and food will be for sale at Canopy Gardens Hall. More into beer than wine? The Zoo Brew bar will be serving select Prism Brewery beers.
