It's only been two weeks and already injuries are piling up.
Key fantasy stars like Christian McCaffrey, Jordan Love, Evan Engram, Keenan Allen and many more players skipped Week 2 — and even more big names could be joining them as inactives next week.
Here's a brief look at some of the latest news on injuries sustained to fantasy players owned by more than 80% of leagues this past weekend:
Deebo Samuel, WR, 49ers
The Niners are already reeling with McCaffrey out — and they'll be without their second-best offensive player for a few weeks as well.
More: 49ers WR Deebo Samuel strained his calf Sunday and is expected to miss a couple weeks, per HC Kyle Shanahan.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Lions
A soft tissue injury to the right leg knocked St. Brown out of the Lions recent loss but the team's brass is insistent he will be back on the field this week and playing in Week 3. Keep an eye on his practice regiment.
Justin Jefferson, WR, Vikings
After a monster performance in a win in Week 2, Jefferson was diagnosed with a contusion to his quad. Reports are that the leg was feeling good when he arrived at Vikings team facilities and he looks like he'll be practicing and likely playing in Week 3.
Cooper Kupp, WR, Rams
Another elite wideout got hurt in Week 2 — but Kupp could miss extended time with an ankle injury. It sounds like a stint on the team's IR is likely. He'll join fellow L.A. receiver Puca Nakua there, opening things up for Demarcus Robinson and Tyler Johnson who will be popular waiver wire pickups.
Joe Mixon, RB, Texans
Mixon along with another Houston running back Dameon Pierce each had ankle injuries this past weekend. It's possible both are out in Week 3, making Cam Akers a valuable asset for fantasy managers.
Isiah Pacheco, RB, Chiefs
With Clyde Edwards-Helaire already sidelined, the Chiefs lost Pacheco to a fibula injury expected to keep him out for between 6-and-8 weeks. Fantasy managers will need to vie for the services of Carson Steele and Samaje Perine on waivers — though the team is also reportedly talking to Kareem Hunt.
Rachaad White, RB, Buccaneers
White hurt his groin Sunday but the team says it's minor and he'll play next week. Still, Bucky Irving could get more touches even if White is playing.
Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Dolphins
A concussion knocked Tagovailoa out of Miami's Thursday night game, and so far reports are murky about how much time he will miss. Skyler Thompson is going to be the starter, at least to start, with the Fins' QB1 missing time.
