Travis Konecny to miss 4-6 weeks with lower-body injury

To the bewilderment of many Flyers fans, Travis Konecny had been out of the lineup for a couple of games this week as Dave Hakstol made him a healthy scratch after a bad turnover in the game at Carolina. Well, after returning to action in Monday night's loss to the St. Louis Blues, the Flyers rookie winger will be back in the press box for the foreseeable future.

Ron Hextall announced on Monday that Konecny will miss 4-6 weeks with a lower-body injury.

CSN Philly's Tim Panaccio is reporting that the lower-body injury is a left knee and ankle sprain. In the second period against the Blues, Konecny went into the boards in an awkward manner and then left the game:

On the season, the 19-year-old former first-round draft pick, who made the team out of training camp, has seven goals and 15 assists in 51 games played.
