A visitor to "On The Road: Jack Kerouac's Original Scroll Manuscript & Exhibit," walks beyond a photograph of Kerouac at the entrance to the exhibit.

Author Jack Kerouac's birthday is March 12, so in honor of the day Tattooed Mom is celebrating with drink specials inspired by his work "On the Road." Thursday, March 12, they'll serve a $5 "Spodiodi" and "Mad Ones" cocktails.

The former is inspired by a character from the book “who ordered drinks at the bar and had them lined up and said, ‘Wine-spodiodi!’ which was a shot of port wine, a shot of whisky, and a shot of port wine. ‘Nice sweet jacket for all that bad whisky!’ he yelled.”

The "Spodiodi" is made with Spodee wine and whiskey and the "Mad Ones" cocktail is made with Spodee and Art in the Age ROOT. The specials will be available downstairs between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and upstairs from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

During the night some copies of "On the Road" and Spodee-brand swag will be raffled off. Upstairs at 8 p.m. poetry and prose authors will participate in a TireFire Reading, capping off a literary evening.
