Kobe Bryant shows off No. 8 Eagles jersey, gives pep talk

Lakers legend and Philadelphia native Kobe Bryant gave the Eagles a pep talk on Friday morning ahead of the team's West Coast matchup with the Los Angeles Rams.

The future Pro Basketball Hall-of-Famer preached "details" to the team, NBC Sports Philadelphia reported.

"Mamba mentality," cornerback Jalen Mills told reporters when asked about Bryant's message. "Always trust the little things. Work on the little things ... the things that helped him get to greatness."

Bryant even rocked a No. 8 Eagles jersey, too.

Bryant starred at Lower Merion before the Lakers drafted him out of high school. But the stunt may have also had something to do with Bryant's five championship rings with the Lakers in a 20-year career.

"I think the character of this team is special. That's what win championships – the character of the team and the spirit of the team," Bryant said, according to NBC Sports Philadelphia. "You have sort of moments where you go up and down. But if the spirit of the team is a strong one, a collective one, then you have something really special. Fingers crossed."
