In May, Laurel Hill Cemetery will host twilight theater. An original production will be performed by The Mechanical Theater at 7 p.m. on May 18-20.
In the show, two men are secretly hosting an on-line auction while in the graveyard. They're trying to sell a stolen object called "The Anathema."
An antique expect arrives to verify the object's authenticity and begins telling the men about the object's dark history and power. As the night goes on, the thieves (and audience) will question whether the stories are legend or real.
The full production will include Edgar Allan Poe’s "Hop-frog," "The Masque of the Red Death" and "The Pit and The Pendulum."
Tickets for the show are $20 per person. The gates to the cemetery will open at 6 p.m. for the evening's event. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, beach chairs, a picnic or beverages.
