Urban Axes opened in September 2016 at 2019 E. Boston St. in East Kensington.

BumbleBFF, the "find friends" function within the popular dating app Bumble, is sponsoring a tournament at Urban Axesa recreational axe-throwing space in Kensington, on Sunday, Nov. 13.

A surprising collaboration? Sure, but who cares when it's free!

To join in the BumbleBFF Ladies Axe Throwing Tournament make sure to be a 21-plus lady, have a BumbleBFF profile and register online.

The event will last approximately three hours, during which participants will learn safety instructions and have one-on-one throwing practice with trained coaches before the real competition begins.

Axe-throwing at Urban Axes is a little like playing darts, where axes are thrown at bull's-eye marks for points.

In between all the axe-throwing and BFF-meeting, there will be pizza to eat from SliCE and beer to drink. Attendees are also invited to BYO.
