New Jersey's first Dave & Buster's is opening soon

The chain is part arcade, part sports bar, part restaurant

A Dave & Buster's is scheduled to open in Woodbridge, N.J., in November.

Those in Philly might be surprised to know that it will be the first to open in the state. The Texas-based chain with the tagline "Eat, Drink, Play & Watch Sports" was named Pennsylvania's most Instagrammed restaurant in 2016.

Due to a 56-year ban on the pairing of alcohol sales and amusement games in New Jersey, Dave & Buster's couldn't operate in the state until 2015, when Gov. Chris Christie signed legislation to finally lift the ban.

The Middlesex County location has set a tentative grand opening date for Monday, Nov. 13, according to the Dave & Buster's website.

Families will be able to play arcade games like skee ball together, sports fans can watch games at the bar and all can enjoy dishes like the Short Rib & Cheese Mac Stack.

While all ages are welcome at Dave & Buster's, those under 18 may only enter the premises with a guardian who is at least 25 years of age.
