Artists from around the country will display original paintings, sculpture, glass, ceramics, mixed-media pieces, prints and other work. Attendees can browse the booths, meet the artists and purchase art directly from them.
The show is marking its 99th year in Philadelphia. It began in 1928, when a small group of local art students displayed their work on clotheslines in the square.
Student artists remain part of the event and will have an opportunity to exhibit their work alongside professionals and connect with potential customers.
Restorative Justice will serve as the show’s community outreach partner and have a presence in the center of the park. The program combines art education, professional development and mural projects for incarcerated, formerly incarcerated and other justice-impacted people.
