A Philadelphia police car.

Three men broke into a West Philadelphia apartment Sunday morning, assaulting and robbing the resident inside, according to reports.

NBC10 reports that police say the incident occurred around 2 a.m. when the suspects managed their way into the building on Chestnut Street near 47th Street.

According to 6ABC, the robbers, dressed in hoods, tied the man up and put a cloth over his head before hitting him several times.

The victim was taken the hospital and is in stable condition.

It is unclear if anything was taken. Police are still investigating the incident and the three suspects are on the loose.
