Spirit Cruises/for PhillyVoice
The Spirit of Philadelphia offers cruises year round.
Once a month through the summer, Spirit Cruises will team up with Yards Brewing Company to host a "Brews Cruise." On select nights, guests will board the Spirit of Philadelphia, sip on Yards beer and enjoy a dinner buffet.
The first of the season's cruises is Thursday, June 18, and features Yards' Saison, a Belgian-style summer beer - and thus the cruise is dubbed "Saison's Greetings." An open beer bar will feature the company's products, and staff members will be on hand to offer samples and answer questions. WMMR's Jacky Bam Bam will provide the tunes.
Upcoming cruises rally around different Yards themes. "Sail Away with Ales of the Revolution" will feature Yards' three Founding Father-inspired ales Thursday, July 16. "Drink Pynk, Don't Sink" features a tart raspberry ale with special guests Franklin Fountain Thursday, Aug. 20. Thursday, Sept. 17 highlights Yards' Cape of Good Hope, and Thursday, Oct. 15 features the classic Brawler.
