The list of Philadelphia Eagles injuries continues to grow, as Doug Pederson announced on Wednesday that Carson Wentz has a back injury, and won't practice Wednesday afternoon. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Wentz is not expected to play on Sunday.

The Philadelphia Eagles' already crowded injured reserved list grew by two on Tuesday, when the team added RB COrey Clement and DE Josh Sweat to it. They will now join a group that already includes Starting cornerbacks Jalen Mills and Ronald Darby, starting safety Rodney McLeod, starting DE Derek Barnett, starting RB Jay Ajayi, starting WR Mike Wallace, WR Mack Hollins, ST Chris Maragos, and TE Josh Perkins.

Eagles are still very much in the wildcard hunt

A few weeks ago, it looked a lot like it would be NFC East champs or bust in order for the Philadelphia Eagles to make it into the postseason. However, with the Minnesota Vikings losing three of their last four games, and the Carolina Panthers on a five-game losing streak, there's likely going to be a team in the NFC with a crappy record that snags the 6 seed. It could very well end up being the Birds.

The Philadelphia Eagles had more backups starting on the defense than actual starters Week 14 against the Dallas Cowboys, and it showed, as the Cowboys possessed the ball for more than 45 minutes, while the Eagles only had it for just over 22. As such, the Cowboys ran 99 plays to the Eagles' 52.
