Atlantic City airport to add flights to Florida in coming months with service by new airline

Atlantic City International Airport is adding a four routes to Florida serviced by Allegiant Air. Flight from the Jersey Shore to Fort Lauderdale start Dec. 4. Additional service to St. Petersburg, Punta Gorda and Sanford begin in 2026.

Essen Bakery owners say they closed for a mental health break. Their employees say they've been ghosted.

Owners of Essen Bakery announced they were temporarily closing their shops in Norris Square and South Philly on May 31 and would be back in three days. The shops are still closed and employees say they haven't heard from the owners since June.

Amtrak to debut faster Acela trains with more seats and amenities along the Northeast Corridor

Amtrak will debut its new Acela trains along the Northeast Corridor starting Thursday, Aug. 28. The upgraded vehicles will feature charging ports at each seat, and a cafe cart on select departures. They also have more seats and can travel at faster speeds.
