'Massive' spike in overdoses in Berks County prompts warning about dangerous batch of heroin in area

Authorities are investigating nearly 70 drug overdoses that occurred in the area of Reading and West Reading on Sept.11-12, the Berks County District Attorney's office said. Officials have linked the cases to a dangerous batch of drugs that appears to be a mix of heroin, fentanyl and xylazine, a veterinary sedative known on the street as "tranq" or "sleep cut," according to preliminary toxicology reports.

Two cars obliterated after truck crashes into notoriously low bridge in Radnor

Two cars were destroyed in Radnor Township on Thursday when a truck driver transporting them attempted to navigate a low-clearance bridge that has been a frequent site of similar incidents on Kind of Prussia Road. There were no injuries in the crash, but the area was temporarily closed and the crash renewed concerns about how to effectively address the costly problem.

Video shows runaway Holstein bull on the loose in Bucks County

A Holstein bull on a truck headed to a slaughterhouse in Pennsylvania escaped and roamed along a busy highway in Souderton, Bucks County on Sept. 7. The animal was eventually captured, but a driver who was on the road at the time managed to get a video of the bull trotting near the intersection of Route 113 and Route 309.
