As the remnants of Hurricane Ida brought heavy rainfall and storms to the Northeast, a beaver was spotted swimming down a flooded road in west central Pennsylvania on Wednesday. Wellingthon Ayala-Peralta, 36, of Philadelphia, was charged with multiple offenses in an alleged road rage shooting on the Garden State Parkway on Aug. 24, 2021. Ayala-Paralta allegedly fired two shots into the sky using a stolen gun and was driving while intoxicated, police said.September 1, 2021

Pennsylvania man attempted to steal $400,000 in COVID-19 relief funds, prosecutors allege
Hayes D. Horner, Jr., 67, of Berwick, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty to a wire fraud scheme in which he attempted to obtain more than $400,000 in COVID-19 relief funds through the Economic Injury Disaster Loan program, federal prosecutors said.
