Parx Racing booth announcer Keith Jones has retired after a 34-year career calling horse races at the track in Bensalem. Jones joined Parx in 1987 and called more than 60,000 horse races, including 32 Pennsylvania Derbies.

Pennsylvania Ballet founder Barbara Weisberger dies at 94

Barbara Weisberger, the founder of the Pennsylvania Ballet, died at the age of 94 on Dec. 23, 2020. Weisberger founded the reputed company in 1963, encouraged by her mentor and famed choreographer George Balanchine. She remained an honorary trustee at the Philadelphia company for years after she led the organization.

Man charged after missing Pennsylvania woman found dead in Butler Township

Columbia County prosecutors charged 42-year-old Harold D. Haulman III with homicide and related offenses in the death of 26-year-old Erica Schultz, who went missing from her home in Bloomsburg on Dec. 4, 2020. Investigators said Schultz was autistic and suffered from diabetes. She was found in a wooded area of Butler Township, Pennsylvania.
