Philly reaches deal to end homeless encampment on Benjamin Franklin Parkway

Philadelphia officials have finalized an agreement to end the homeless encampment protest on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The city, Philadelphia Housing Authority and camp organizers have struck a deal that includes the transfer of 50 properties to a community land trust established by encampment residents. The agreement ends five months of tense negotiations.
