Seven people killed in wave of Philly shootings over Fourth of July weekend

At least seven people in Philadelphia were killed by gun violence over the weekend, including a 6-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy, and more than 20 people were injured in shootings that occurred across the city, according to police. Mayor Jim Kenney reacted strongly to a spate of shootings across the city over Fourth of July weekend. At least seven people were killed in nearly two dozen separate shooting incidents, including a child and two teenagers.

Pa. directs $2 million in grants to help people with opioid addictions find jobs

Fourteen organizations across Pennsylvania will receive a combined $2 million in grant funding to provide employment support for residents in recovery from opioid use disorder. Philly man, brother identified as drowning victims in Delaware's Murderkill River

Brothers Kevin and Zion George drowned in the Murderkill River in Delaware on June 30, 2020 after strong currents pulled them away from shore in the area of South Bowers Beach, according to Delaware State Police.
