If you’ve ever had groceries or other household staples delivered to your home, you know just how many empty boxes you’re left with once everything’s unpacked.
This was a problem that Alex Torrey could relate with all too well, so in 2019, he launched The Rounds, a zero-waste, refill and delivery service for the stuff you use every day. Alex met co-founder Byungwoo Ko in business school at UPenn. With Byungwoo's background in operations and logistics, the two are working toward building a closed-loop supply chain that will bring sustainability and convenience to city residents across the country.
Zero-waste means all your items are delivered free of packaging waste — so no more boxes inside of boxes. Instead, everything comes delivered in reusable containers and bags. When you’re done, you just leave the empties on the doorstep, and The Rounds swaps them out for new ones on your designated refill day. Plus, the Philly-founded service costs considerably less than what you’d pay at the store.
Think of it like a modern-day milkman — but for everything. And the best part? Membership starts at just $6 per month! Here’s how it works…
Pick from 100+ products to build your bundle. The Rounds has everything from household basics to fresh bread. They even deliver baby products and pet food.
Autopilot schedules refill your stock at a cadence that makes sense — and with amounts that work for your household.
‘Rounders’ deliver your refill bundle using their fleet of e-bikes. At that time, they also pick up any empty containers so nothing goes to waste.
Visit The Rounds website now and answer a few short questions about your delivery needs. They’ll then recommend some favorites based on your preferences and show you all of the products you can add to your dashboard.
There are no order minimums or delivery fees. You can also skip a refill or pause your service at zero cost with a simple text message.
