Police say this man robbed a woman in a North Philly deli on Feb. 7, 2016.

A man armed with a gun violently threw a woman to the ground during a robbery in North Philly, police say.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on Feb. 7 around 1 a.m. at the Angel Spirit Deli located at 5246 Rising Sun Avenue.

Police say the suspect entered the story and bear hugged the female victim, 22, pointing a handgun at her chest and telling her to "drop everything."

Surveillance video shows the suspect tossing the victim to the floor, her cell phone, car keys and purse falling along with her. 

In the video, the suspect can be seen picking up the items and fleeing the store. Police made the surveillance video available on YouTube. It can be viewed below.

Here's police's description of the subject: black male, 30-40 years old, stocky build, dark, grayish beard, wearing a gray North Face jacket, dark ski hat, dark jeans, brown boots, and armed with a handgun.

The suspect got into the victim's black Honda Accord with Pennsylvania license plate number JZG1179 and drove away, police say.
