Cirque du Soleil will perform seven "OVO" shows at Temple University's Liacouras Center from May 11-May 15, 2016.

The Cirque du Soleil show "OVO" will premiere at Temple University's Liacouras Center on Wednesday, May 11. There will be seven showtimes through the weekend

"OVO" is an insect-themed performance featuring acrobats acting as fleas, crickets, ants, spiders and other bugs. Fifty performers from 17 countries bring the show to life and give each bug personality.

The central storyline revolves around a strange fly that brings a large egg into the insect community and attracts immediate curiosity. Using aerial acrobatics, hand-balancing, Brazilian music, dancing, juggling and other circus acts, the story plays out over two hours and 30 minutes.

Philadelphia is one of the first stops on the show's tour. Tickets for "OVO" start at $51 per person, with varied times through Sunday, May 15.
