A local Marine received a special thank you when a local restaurant patron anonymously picked up the bill for his family.
Gina Taylor shared on Facebook that her family went to an Applebee's in Ridley, Delaware County, on May 9. Her nephew Josh wore his Marine uniform to the restaurant.
A total of nine people racked up a "very large check" that included appetizers, meals and desserts.
When it came time to pay up, the family found out that a generous person already took care of it.
Gina hoped that her social media post, which has been shared almost 2,000 times, would eventually catch the attention of the stranger to show the gesture was appreciated.
