Whitman Plaza trolley route.

This is for all you people who park in the spot closest to the gym.

A trolley route will circle a South Philadelphia shopping center that houses a ShopRite, GNC, PennDOT and MetroPCS, to name a few of the center's retail and service shops.

The loop around Whitman Plaza at 330 Oregon Ave. in South Philadelphia was announced in the Passyunk Post on Monday as a way "to allow for easier shopping during the holiday season."

The service around the plaza parking lot will run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday through Sunday from Nov. 17 until Dec. 31, the Passyunk Post notes.

To be fair, while undoubtedly unnecessary for most people, it's a free service, it's starting to get cold out there, and it could be extremely beneficial for certain people, including the elderly.
