To celebrate Black History Month, Mural Arts Philadelphia is offering a special trolley tour that highlights African American figures.
On the tour, attendees will see murals such as "A Celebration of Poetry," which shows the African American poet's journey; "Staircases and Mountaintops: Ascending Beyond the Dream," which depicts Martin Luther King, Jr; and "The Legacy of Bishop Richard Allen and the A.M.E. Church," which pays homage to the activist who founded the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
A tour guide will discuss each mural, the artists and the mural-making process.
The tour will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10. It will be about two hours long, and will take attendees through various neighborhoods.
Tickets are $32 (seniors, students and kids receive a discount).
