Wawa, famed for its in-and-out service, has created a mobile app for even faster service.

The app, available for Android and Apple devices, will let Wawa customers earn rewards points for purchases and use gift cards more conveniently to buy items, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The article said the app gives customers rewards points for every $50 they spend.

Most convenience stores and gas stations don't hold a special place in the public's heart, but Wawa has a bit of a cult following expressed well in this New York Times story.
