Please Touch Museum to host 'Star Wars' weekend for kids

'May the force be with you'

The Please Touch Museum will host a "Star Wars" weekend, beginning Aug. 20. Kids will meet other fans of the franchise, along with characters from the films.

The most famous characters from "Star Wars" will be available for meet-and-greets from noon to 2:45 p.m, on both dates.

Before or after hanging with storm troopers and Wookies, kids can play with different "Star Wars" toys, books and costumes. Plus, there's a huge model of the Millennium Falcon that needs a paint job and a life-size R2D2 Unit to play with.

At the end of the day, a giant dance party will take place -- where Darth Vader is invited to let loose.

General admission to the museum is $17 per person.
