An arrest has been made in the murder of a Temple University law graduate who was found dead inside a parked car in Delaware last month, 6ABC reports.

New Castle County Police announced Wednesday that 25-year-old Benjamin Rauf of Westerlo, New York, was arrested in connection to the death of 27-year-old Shazim Uppal.

Rauf has been charged with murder in the first degree and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.

Uppal was found dead sitting in a parked Audi sedan on Aug. 24 on the 100 block of St. Claire Drive in Hockessin, Delaware – the same block where he lived.

Police said he died from gunshot wounds sustained to his upper torso.

Police in New Castle County later revealed that the car in which Uppal was found dead carried a substantial amount of marijuana in it, suggesting it was likely a targeted attack.

Uppal graduated from Temple University's Beasley School of Law in July.

Rauf is currently being held in the state of New York awaiting extradition.
