Botanist discovers new wildflower species native to Philly-area

The few-flowered roundleaf mud-plantain is a newly identified flower species native to Southeastern Pennsylvania, South Jersey and parts of Virginia and North Carolina. The discovery was made by botanist Charles Horn, a professor of biology at Newberry College in South Carolina.

Pa. man allegedly robbed pizza place after filling out job application

Nicholas Mark, 22, allegedly stole a tip jar from Pizza D'Oro in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, on Aug. 26. Police were able to identify him, in part, because he had filled out a job application with his contact information at the same shop earlier in the day.
