Quran Powell, 27, of Holmdel, N.J., was arrested and charged in the shooting of two men in the parking lot of the PNC Bank Arts Center after a concert.

The New Jersey State Police have arrested and charged a man in the shooting of two men in the parking lot of the PNC Bank Arts Center after a concert, authorities said.

Quran Powell, 27, of Holmdel, Monmouth County, was charged with attempted homicide (two counts), possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and certain persons not to possess a firearm, according to state police.

Troopers responded to the shooting in the parking lot of the PNC Bank Arts Center on Monday at 11:14 p.m

Two male victims were left in critical but stable condition after they were shot outside the arena, where rappers J. Cole and Big Sean were performing. Both victims were airlifted to the hospital, authorities said.

Witness Mike Lefanto told the New York Daily News that he saw the two soon-to-be victims speaking to a woman in the parking lot and "talking about her body."

A man then approached them and fired about seven shots, he said.

"He took those two dudes out right away," Lefanto told the Daily News. "It looked like he knew what he was doing."

Investigators said they were able to identify Powell as the suspect and executed a search warrant for his home on Wednesday.

Powell was located at an apartment complex at 61 Glenwood Ave. He was arrested without incident.

He is being held at Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $750,000 bail with no 10 percent option as the investigation continues.
