The expanding Sprouts Farmers Market will soon have its first outpost in New Jersey.
Founded 16 years ago in Arizona, the popular organic and healthy food grocer has since expanded to more than 300 locations across 19 states.
Sprouts Farmers Market announced Tuesday it will open a store in Marlton, Burlington County, at 237 Route 73 South, in the Marlton Crossing Shopping Center. It will be one of 10 new locations the grocer is set to launch in the second quarter of 2019.
Over the course of the year, the company plans to open a total of 30 new stores.
Each of the planned locations is expected to bring approximately 140 new jobs to the communities where they are located.
Last fall, Sprouts opened its first Pennsylvania location at South Philadelphia's Lincoln Square development, located at the corner of Broad Street and Washington Avenue.
In addition to its produce-centric layout, Sprouts offers fresh seafood, poultry and meat to go with thousands of lifestyle-oriented products. The company has more than 2,400 Sprouts brand products and a wide selection of vitamins, supplements and natural body care offerings.
A grand opening date and hiring information will be announced in the coming months.
