Fit in free barre, yoga, kickboxing classes before boozy brunch

SWEAT + Sip will return to City Tap House University City for a second summer.

Popular pop-up fitness series SWEAT + Sip will return for a second summer at City Tap House University City.

On Sundays, beginning June 11, there will be free hourlong workout classes on the restaurant's outdoor patio. Each class will begin at 10 a.m. and will end right before City Tap House opens for brunch.

After class, all attendees will be rewarded with a complimentary breakfast cocktail. Sip on City Tap House's signature Beermosa, made with Allagash White, St. Germaine Elderflower Liquor, Champagne and orange juice, to cool down.

Below is this year's lineup of workouts.

• June 11 - Yoga
• June 18 - SWEATX
• June 25 - Kickboxing
• July 2 - Yoga
• July 9 - SWEATX
• July 16 - SWEAT Cycling/ Bootcamp
• July 23 - Barre
• July 30 - Piyo Live
• Aug. 6 - Kickboxing
• Aug. 13 - Pour the Core
• Aug. 20 - SWEATX
• Aug. 27 - Yoga

Classes will be offered rain or shine, since there is a covered portion of the outdoor patio.

“This is a wonderful way to keep working hard through the summer months – but outdoors with friends and brunch!” said Tracy Shannon, SWEAT Fitness president.

City Tap House's brunch features dishes like chicken & waffles, avocado & grapefruit salad and braised brisket eggs Benedict.
