The scene of a fatal crash on Adams Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia
Two people were killed early Monday morning after an SUV crashed and overturned in Northeast Philadelphia, 6ABC reports.
The crash occurred before 2:30 a.m. on Adams Avenue near Whitaker Avenue in Lawncrest.
According to officials, both victims, a 25-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man, were ejected from the vehicle in the crash. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
As a result of the crash, Adams Avenue was closed at Whitaker, and the outer lanes of southbound Roosevelt Boulevard were closed at Adams Avenue.
All roads were reopened by 6:15 a.m.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
