In case you missed it — or maybe you forgot after one too many adult beverages — last night the calendar flipped from 2018 to 2019. And that can only mean one thing ... it's Manny Machado season.
The prize free agent had made it known that his decision wouldn't come until the new year, and the prevailing belief among baseball experts is that he will sign before fellow free agent Bryce Harper, who has also been linked to the Phillies this winter.
Well, against all odds, we've made it to 2019 and it's time for this seemingly never-ending saga to come to an end. Let's just hope, at least for Phillies fans, it end end with one of those two players wearing red pinstripes. Otherwise, this year could be as long as the last.
