It feels like years ago at this point, but it was actually less than two months ago when reports began surfacing that the Phillies could be interested in trading for Marlins catcher J.T. Realmuto.
Now, 55 days and approximately one million Bryce Harper rumors later, it appears we've gone full circle and the Phillies' interest in the All-Star catcher has been reignited.
#Phillies recently checked in on #Marlins’ Realmuto, sources tell The Athletic. Phils, like many teams, routinely monitor markets for top players in trades and free agency. Continued availability of Realmuto led to renewed communication. No indication deal is close.

Keep an eye on Phillies in JT Realmuto trade possibilities. Sounds as though there could be some traction there.

Of course, the Phillies are hardly the only team interested in acquiring Realmuto.
Marlins like phillies prospects (and they have a young catcher Jorge Alfaro) in Realmuto talks, but hearing many teams are still in, including dodgers, padres, reds, braves and rays. @Ken_Rosenthal and @TBrownYahoo reported phils are back in mix
