An early-morning tractor-trailer crash Friday on Pennsylvania’s Interstate 81 left 13 cows dead.
The crash took place around Southampton Township in Cumberland County around 7 a.m., according to PennLive, and all lanes of the highway were closed for more than three hours.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, according to a Pennsylvania State Police spokesman.
The tractor-trailer was transporting 32 cows when the trailer overturned in the median between the northbound and southbound lanes.
It's hard to make out much, but this was the scene from the PennDOT traffic camera near the crash, which was just outside Shippensburg:

Nineteen cows survived the crash, and a few of the surviving cattle were seen walking around the median just after 7:30 a.m., while others were still stuck in the trailer, according to The Sentinel.
