Super Bowl LVI open thread

It wasn't that long ago that the Philadelphia Eagles were in Minneapolis, beating Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII. Four years later, the Birds have already since hit something close to rock bottom and are maybe(?) back on track to contend for the Super Bowl once again soon. For now, Super Bowl LVI will be played between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals, a pair of teams that were not popular preseason picks to win it all.

Report: Colts likely done with Carson Wentz

Less than a year ago, the Indianapolis Colts traded a third-round pick in 2021 and a conditional second-round pick in 2022 that would eventually become a first-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for Carson Wentz. It appears as though Wentz's second NFL marriage is already falling apart, according to Chris Mortensen of ESPN.

Each year the NFL televises it's "NFL Honors" award show, during which they recognize the league's best players, performances and plays from the 2021 season. That's tonight at 9:00 p.m. EST. It is unlikely that any Eagles players will take home any awards, but let's go ahead and have out own Eagles version, shall we?

Last offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles were forced to sit out the fun part of NFL free agency, as they were mired in "salary cap hell." In 2022, the Birds still face challenges in becoming cap healthy once again, but with the salary cap expected to rise substantially in 2023, they can be a little more aggressive in adding talent on the open market. Here are three likely low- or medium-priced free agents that I believe make sense for the Eagles.
