New Phillies star Nick Castellanos could be buying the Moorestown, New Jersey mansion of former Philadelphia 76ers player Ben Simmons, 97.5 The Fanatic host Anthony Gargano said Wednesday. Simmons listed the home for sale in the fall of 2021, months before being traded to the Brooklyn Nets. Castellanos signed with the Phillies as a free agent during the offseason.

An annual Pew Charitable Trusts poll found that Philadelphia residents are the most pessimistic they have been since the survey first began in 2009. Most residents said the city is on the wrong track, sharing significant concerns about crime, drugs and public safety. They also had concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic, affordable housing and education.

The construction of the 11.5-acre Park at Penn's Landing is expected to begin in late 2022. The project will improve access to the Delaware River waterfront in Old City by capping I-95 and Columbus Boulevard, and extending the South Street pedestrian bridge. The project is expected to be finished in 2026.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf shared a photo he took with NBA Hall of Famer and former Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers center Dikembe Mutombo. Metcalf, at 6 feet 4 inches, is one of the most physically fit players in the NFL. Next to the 7 feet 2 inch Mutombo, he looks like just a regular guy.

Philadelphia-based Federal Donuts is poised for a major expansion, including up to 150 new corporate-owned and franchise locations, after a growth equity investment from Radnor-based NewSpring Franchise. The concept, founded in 2011, has 11 locations in Philadelphia and is a fast-casual shop for donuts, coffee and fried chicken. The new restaurants could be spread across the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith joined teammates Dallas Goedert and Avonte Maddox for a Wawa commercial promoting the convenience store ahead of the upcoming NFL Draft. Goedert and Maddox had another commercial with Wawa last year. The Eagles hold two first-round picks in the NFL Draft in Las Vegas from April 28-30, making the event one of the most anticipated nights for Eagles fans in years.

Jamie Urchic, 37, was killed when the ATV she was riding in with her husband and children flipped over in a deep puddle on April 2 in Archbald, Pennsylvania. Urchic's husband rescued the couple's children but could not save his wife. Police said the puddle's water was 4-5 feet deep.
